RFA Kurumba

 

In 1925 during the survey of the approaches to Port Darwin in the Northern Territories, Australia by Acting Commander H T Bennett, RAN in HMAS Geranium two nautical features were charted and named by Commander Bennett to commemorate the Royal Australian Navy Auxiliary Fleet Oiler Kurumba and her Master Commander Frederick C Plater RD., RANR

RAFA Kurumba had served as RFA Kurumba between December, 1916 and March, 1919.
